Supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities should be a trend that many follow.
Charlamagne Tha God attended South Carolina State University’s homecoming over the weekend and announced a $250K scholarship fund named after his mother and grandmother.
The Ford Family Endowed Scholarship Fund will be provided to black women in South Carolina who major in English, Communications, and in Mental Health, according to Charlamagne.
“The Ford Family Endowed Scholarship Fund” named after my mother and my grandmothers maiden names. We will be providing scholarships to black women in South Carolina who Major in English, (my mother’s major) Communications, (because I’m a Radio/TV Guy), and for any sister that wants to be a mental health professional,” he said.
“Always remember investing in an HBCU is investing in the future of our people so the next time an HBCU ask for money, open that wallet. It’s a blessing to be a blessing! All Praises Due To God!!,” Charlamagne continued.
