Ciara and Russell Wilson are making major waves in holiday-season philanthropy with two significant donations through their Why Not You Foundation aimed at expanding community support and children’s health resources.
In Atlanta, the couple announced a $500,000 gift to hunger relief efforts in the city. The donation will be directed to the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Southwest ATL Cares program, organizations focused on food distribution and emergency food support for families facing food insecurity. The announcement took place at Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church in southwest Atlanta, where the Wilsons joined city leaders to highlight the critical issue of food access in underserved neighborhoods. Officials say the contribution will help provide more than 1 million additional meals across the metro area during a season when demand typically increases. Ciara, who grew up in the Atlanta area, emphasized the importance of addressing hunger and ensuring children and families have access to nourishment and stability. The foundation’s work in Atlanta underscores a broader commitment to combating poverty and food insecurity.
Separately in New York City, Wilson, now quarterback for the NY Giants and Ciara made a $3 million donation to Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. That contribution will support the creation and enhancement of therapeutic spaces for pediatric patients and their families, including the Child Life Zone Theater and specialized play areas for children with serious health conditions such as cancer and blood diseases. These environments are designed to offer comfort, creative arts therapy, and a sense of normalcy for children during hospital stays. Wilson’s regular visits to the hospital have been a meaningful part of his relationship with the facility, and the couple says the investment reflects their belief that every child deserves safe, uplifting spaces to heal and thrive.
Together, these gifts show the Wilsons’ expanding philanthropic footprint in health, food access, and community well-being through targeted support where it’s needed most.
