Rolling Stone’s explosive Diddy exposé has social media buzzing, as the claims against him have seemingly been mounting for years.
The outlet reached out to 300 people who had dealings with the Bad Boy mogul, with 50 of them granting interviews. Many of them recalled a history of violence, including sexual assaults, beatings, and shootings. Even more troubling, many of those who provided statements corroborating the stories of several women who have sued the mogul, including those by accusers Joi Dickerson-Neal, Crystal McKinney, and Cassie, who seemingly kicked off his downfall when she sued him for abuse in November 2023.
Many of those who spoke with Rolling Stone detailed shocking incidents dating back to his college days before he rose to fame. The six-month investigation sought to establish a timeline of his behavior and shed light on how he has been able to get away with his actions for decades.
Let’s explore some of the most shocking claims outlined in the probe.
Diddy allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend while attending Howard
The “Last Night” rapper was reportedly seen physically attacking a fellow student that he used to date. “He screamed and hollered and acted a stone fool until she came downstairs,” one former Howard alum shared. They also added that they witnessed Diddy brutally beat her while people screamed for him to get off of her. The alleged girlfriend and victim of this assault refused to comment on the story.
Former and current Bad Boy employees witnessed abuse
Several past and present Bad Boy employees claimed to have witnessed Diddy’s violent outbursts firsthand. Shockingly, several of them happened inside the workplace. Bad Boy co-founder and former president Kirk Burrowes, who was terminated in 1997, told Rolling Stone that she saw the Sean John creator attack a woman in the office. Another ex-employee detailed the same incident. Former manager of Bad Boy’s recording studio Daddy’s House, Felicia Newsome, also stated that Diddy had to be held back from beating a woman during a fight between her and another woman.
Diddy attacked Kim Porter’s ex-boyfriend, Shakir Stewart
While the tumultuous relationship between Diddy and Kim Porter has been documented over the years, during a brief breakup with him, Porter began dating late music executive Shakir Stewart in 2000. However, Stewart’s mother, Portia, claimed that Diddy became jealous and beat Stewart bloody. He also allegedly threatened to kill him.
Diddy allegedly used his employees to get Jennifer Lopez back
Following his breakup with Jennifer Lopez, the producer tried to win her back by sending employees to hold up signs outside MTV’s TRL studios. Though, it doesn’t appear this worked.
Tupac Shakur wasn’t a fan of Diddy
Before the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur feuded publicly, they were friends. However, Shakur never liked Diddy, who’d also tried to befriend the West Coast icon. “Pac didn’t have any kind of respect for Puff,” hip-hop photographer Monqiue Bunn, stated.
The Notorious B.I.G. was allegedly going to leave Bad Boy
Despite a close friendship with his label head, the Notorious B.I.G. reportedly wanted out of his Bad Boy deal. Bunn claims he told her that he wanted to leave and his lawyers had begun trying to negotiate a deal to obtain his publishing rights. Sadly, he passed away in 1997 before this was achieved.
