We all know Claressa Shields is never the one to hold her tongue. Whether she is in the ring or on the timeline, the “GWOAT” is famous for speaking her mind and calling out anyone who thinks they can disrespect her from behind a screen.

But things got very real in her hometown of Flint during her annual Christmas giveaway when she had to show a local troll exactly what “keeping that same energy” looks like. The drama kicked off when a mother of five, who Claressa says has been one of her most vocal critics online, showed up to the event hoping to benefit from the giveaway. Claressa, whose memory is clearly as sharp as her jab, recognized the woman as a long-time hater and didn’t hesitate to address the situation directly.
In a video recounting the moment, Claressa made it clear that she isn’t the one to play with, saying that the woman had been trolling her for years, even threatening to spit on her. The hate also included comments about her looks, her boxing skills, and more. Once face-to-face at the giveaway, the fighter politely turned her away, along with her children.
Claressa admitted she felt guilty after learning the woman and her children were currently unhoused. However, she stood ten toes down on her boundaries. While some people online slammed Claressa for her move, others praised her for teaching the troll a strong lesson about online bullying.
