Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals To be Postponed Until October Due To Coronavirus
Just days after several music and film festivals were canceled across the country, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is following suit.
But instead of a full-blown cancellation, both Coachella and the Stagecoach Music Festival have been postponed over coronavirus concerns.
The delay comes weeks after the virus hit the states, sparking widespread closures and cancellations, including Austin’s SXSW and Miami’s Ultra Music Festival.
Although an official statement has yet to be released, Goldenvoice, the company responsible for the festival, is reportedly informing talent agents of a new date in October.
The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival was set to take place on the weekend of April 10th and 17th, while Stagecoach was expected to kick off on April 24. But now, the concerts will take place in the fall, beginning on October 9.
