UFC fighter Conor McGregor is being accused of violently assaulting a woman in a bathroom during Game 4 of the 2023 NBA Finals.
The shocking sexual assault allegedly took place inside a public restroom at the Kaseya Center, which is home to the Miami Heat. Via her attorney, the unidentified victim said the seemingly planned attack took place shortly after the Denver Nuggets defeated the Heat during the June 9th match up.
In her demand letters, the victim claims security staff separated her from a friend she was with and forced her into a men’s restroom, where McGregor and his security guard were waiting. Once inside, the men would not let her leave, and the fighter forced her to kiss him. She tried to get him away from her by stating that she had to use the bathroom. However, McGregor then forced the victim to have oral sex. As if things were not traumatizing enough, he then aggressively pinned her to a wall before trying to penetrate her. The woman says she pleaded for him to stop. She was able to escape his grasp by elbowing him repeatedly, causing him to loosen his grip, which gave her the opportunity to flee the bathroom. In her hurry out of the bathroom, she forgot her purse and said McGregor’s security only gave it back after she begged them. The victim reported the incident to police two days later and turned in the clothing she was wearing as evidence.
The 34-year-old fighter was already in the hot seat after he punched the Heat mascot in a promotional prank gone awry during the game. His attorneys have slammed the allegations in a statement on Thursday, calling them false and nothing more than an intimidation tactic.
