Conor McGregor has been arrested in Miami Beach for allegedly smashing a fan’s phone outside of the Fontainbleau hotel.
According to the Miami Herald, the incident occurred around 5 a.m., as McGregor and the fan were leaving the hotel, presumably after a night at LIV nightclub. However, things took a turn for the worse when the fan tried to take an unauthorized photo of the UFC fighter. Upon the fan’s attempt to snap a pic, McGregor reportedly ”slapped” the phone out of the fan’s hand and stomped on it several times. He then picked up the phone and left the scene.
The incident was caught on surveillance footage.
According to the publication, officials spent the day investigating the incident and eventually arrested McGregor at a Miami Beach home on charges of robbery/strong-arm and criminal mischief over $1,000.
