Spanx has long been an innovator in shapewear, and now, the brand has introduced a line of heels that takes comfort shoes to new heights.
Last month, Spanx founder Sara Blakely announced Sneex, a concept that merges a high heel’s elegance with a sneaker’s unbeatable comfort. The objective is to ensure customers can maintain their confident strut while feeling as if they’re gliding on clouds. This hybrid shoe isn’t just a fashion statement; it’s a game-changer in the footwear industry.
Crafted in Spain from sumptuous Napa leather and Italian mesh, Sneex comes in several styles perfect for casual outings and formal events. So far, customers can choose between The Blake, The Icon, and The Tepper, all of which are breathable sneakers attached to a 3-inch heel. However, the major difference in the styling appears to be the straps on each, with the rounded closed-toe appearing the same. There are also several colorways, such as the Varsity Green for those who enjoy vibrant hues, and the Ivory/Nude, perfect for those who go for more neutral tones.
The Sneex are considered a luxury item, priced at $545 a pair. Comparably, other sneaker heels, such as Balenciaga’s X-Pander Heeled Sneaker Pumps, retailed for $1,290. This makes Sneex considerably less expensive than other high-end sneaker heels. Furthermore, judging by the longevity and quality of Spanx, Sneex could be well worth the price tag.
