‘Creed 3’ In The Works At MGM; Studio Selects ‘King Richard’ Writer Zach Baylin To Pen The Script

A little over a year following the release of Creed II, details of the upcoming third film are starting to submerge.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zach Baylin, writer of the forthcoming film, King Richard, starring Will Smith, has been tapped to write the script for the latest film in the franchise.

While details of the story’s plot are being kept under wraps, fans can expect the film to continue telling the story of Adonis Creed, who is played by Michael BJordan.

Baylin’s upcoming film King Richard will showcase the journey of Tennis legends Venus Williams and Serena Williams, with Smith starring as Richard Williams, their father. Smith also signed on to produce the Warner Bros. film, which is slated for Thanksgiving Day release.

Currently, there’s no official say on when production for Creed 3 will begin as Jordan’s schedule is packed.

A director has yet to be selected for the film, and a release date has yet to be announced.
