Dak to the Future!
As the Dallas Cowboys enter their bye week, 5-1, more good news has surfaced for the fans of America’s team. On Sunday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that there would be no decision on the QB position until veteran, Tony Romo was 100% healthy. Which, meant rookie Dak Prescott could start against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, for the team’s third conference game.
Good news is, Prescott will indeed start against the Eagles in week 8. Romo’s injury could have him sideline up until early November, in week 9 against the Cleveland Browns, and then some. While, this news may not have been the best for the team, in previous years, it is now. With the way Prescott has been playing, the team has time to let Romo fully recover.
According to Bleacher Report, Rapoport says Prescott, “has more support in the Cowboys locker room to keep the status quo than Romo has to change it. Romo hasn’t been around much.”
Despite previous statements made, there is no official date for Romo’s 2016 regular season debut.
