Dawn Richard, former Danity Kane singer, gave testimony in court Monday, claiming Diddy physically abused Cassie Ventura in public and private settings.
Richard, who filed her own lawsuit against Combs in 2024 for sexual and verbal abuse, is the fourth witness to testify in his ongoing legal battles.
During her testimony, Richard recounted a disturbing moment from 2010. She said she was at a restaurant with Combs, Cassie, and a group of celebrities, including Usher, Ne-Yo, and Jimmy Iovine.
At one point, Combs and Cassie stepped into a private room. Richard said things escalated quickly behind closed doors. “He punched her in the stomach,” she recalled, adding that Cassie bent over in pain while Combs told her to leave. “No one stepped in,” Richard added.
Later that night, Richard was in the car with the couple. According to her, Cassie told Combs she was embarrassed by his actions. That’s when things got worse. Richard said Combs grabbed Cassie by the neck, slapped her across the mouth, and told her to “shut the f**k up.” She also said Combs told Cassie, “I own you.”
Richard said she urged Cassie to get out of the relationship, but Cassie appeared afraid. “She looked torn,” Richard told the court. “She’d listen, but the fear was all over her.”
This wasn’t the first time Richard claimed she saw Combs get violent. She testified about a 2009 incident, where she says Combs hit Cassie with a skillet full of eggs. After that moment, Richard said Combs turned to her and made a chilling threat: “He told me we could go missing. That we could die,” she said. “I was terrified. I didn’t realize that would just be the beginning.”
Combs is facing multiple legal cases tied to abuse, trafficking, and harassment allegations. Richard’s testimony adds even more weight to the growing list of accusations against him.
