Diddy Scores Partial Win as Dawn Richard Drops 10 Companies from Lawsuit, But the Legal Fight Rages On

Dawn Richard and Diddy

Diddy just got a small victory in court, but he’s not in the clear yet. Dawn Richard dropped ten of his companies from her $3.5 million lawsuit, yet she’s still coming for him and preparing to file a new complaint.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Richard and her legal team agreed to remove Daddy’s House Recording Studio, Bad Boy Entertainment LLC, Bad Boy Records LLC, Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings Inc., Bad Boy Productions Holdings Inc., Bad Boy Books Holdings Inc., 1169 Corp, Sean Combs Capital LLC, CE OpCo LLC, and UMG Recordings Inc. All were dismissed “without prejudice,” meaning they could be brought back later.

Still, three entities remain in the case: Janice Combs Publishing LLC, Janice Combs Publishing Holdings Inc., and Love Records Inc.

Diddy’s legal team isn’t opposing the updated filing. They stated in a letter to the judge that while they don’t object to the second amended complaint, they believe it’s “futile.”

Richard alleges she was abused during her time working with Diddy. Her claims include groping, being forced to strip during rehearsals, being denied food and sleep, and being threatened with her life.

“He told me people could ‘go missing,’” Richard stated.

She testified during Diddy’s federal sex trafficking trial and gave harrowing details of her experience. That case ended in July with Diddy acquitted on major charges but found guilty of two lesser counts. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on October 3rd.

This legal battle is far from over.
