Detroit Pistons’ Avery Bradley Paid Big Bucks To Keep His Sexual Assault Accuser Quiet; Says He Paid To Protect His Rep, But Denies Allegations

Detroit Pistons’ Avery Bradley is the latest celebrity to be involved in a sexual misconduct claim. The baller reportedly paid a pretty penny to keep his accuser quiet, but according to his lawyer, the money was to keep the woman from leaking false information.

TMZ reports that the incident occurred on May 23 in Cleveland, Ohio, just before the Boston Celtics were scheduled to play the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. The woman involved in the agreement claimed the pro-baller, who played for the Celtics at the time, sexually assaulted her while she was passed out. When she woke up, she called Bradley and accused him of assault. The baller quickly settled the allegation in a confidentiality agreement to keep the woman from releasing any pics or videos of him.

The two negotiated an amount that would silence her, which reached nearly $400,000 at one point, but it remains unclear how much Bradley agreed to. Since then though, amid the release of the report, Bradley’s attorney told TMZ that Bradley denies “the validity of all allegations of any wrongful conduct,” adding that the agreement was just to protect Bradley, his reputation, and his family.

“My office will take all appropriate action against all persons involved in the wrongful disclosure of this agreement. We will conduct a thorough investigation into who is responsible for this wrongful disclosure,” Brian Wolf of Lavely & Singer said.
