Diddy’s massive fortune is now in jeopardy as his court case drags on.

CNN, citing a new report by Forbes, says that the producer’s $400 million net worth could be seized by the government if he’s convicted in his federal sex trafficking and RICO case. In 2022, Fortune estimated his net worth at $1 billion. However, following Cassie’s explosive rape and abuse lawsuit in 2023, which was settled for $20 million, his fortune took a dive by the end of 2024. This is largely due to many of his business affiliates pulling away from him.

In a May 20th broadcast, CNN’s Laura Coates broke down what’s at stake. She asked former DOJ official Jim Trusty if Diddy’s remaining empire could be taken away. Trusty replied, “Yeah, it pretty much is.”

He added, “The RICO is essentially anything he touched in his business world…record labels, liquor labels, planes, trains, and automobiles, basically, everything is in play.”

Trusty also pointed out that if prosecutors can’t tie certain assets directly to a crime, they can still pursue “substitute assets.”

“Even if we can’t prove that this particular car, diamond watch, or piece of art is not connected to criminality…it still relates to our overall reward,” he explained.
