Diddy has received court approval to move forward with an expedited appeal in his federal conviction. Legal documents reveal that a judge granted the fast-tracking request on Monday, accepting the defense’s argument that a quicker schedule is essential due to the short length of Diddy’s 50-month prison sentence.

The agreed-upon timeline is already in motion. Diddy must submit his opening brief by December 23. The federal government’s response is due by February 20, followed by Diddy’s reply brief on March 13. If everything stays on track, oral arguments could begin as soon as April 2026.

Diddy was convicted in July on two counts tied to prostitution. He is currently serving time at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. As he works through the legal process, he’s adapting to prison life, including taking on laundry duty. The Bad Boy founder was also recently spotted chatting with former NBA star Sebastian Telfair, who is incarcerated at Fort Dix for violating his supervised release terms in his health fraud case.

Diddy’s team is hoping to have him out of prison sooner rather than later, previously claiming that he had already been targeted behind bars.
