Diddy, Justin Combs, and Cuba Gooding Jr. Temporarily Off the Hook After Lawsuit Alleging Misconduct and Underage Party Guests Is Dismissed

Diddy and his son Justin Combs have scored a legal victory after a lawsuit naming them and actor Cuba Gooding Jr. was dismissed.

Rodney Jones, a former employee of Diddy, must refile his lawsuit against Gooding Jr. and Justin Combs if he wishes to continue legal proceedings, as the case was dismissed due to a failure to properly serve the defendants. The court issued the dismissal without prejudice on Tuesday morning, citing attorney Tyrone Blackburn’s failure to meet service requirements as the central issue.

According to court documents, Blackburn delayed attempts to serve the parties until the deadline approached and failed to offer a valid justification for this inaction. While a process server was sent to Justin Combs’ residence, access was hindered by a “massive gate and fence.” Blackburn instructed the server to leave the documents with a security guard, but the server refused, insisting that “service to the security guard or front desk personnel will not be accepted by your court.” Attempts made the following day were similarly unsuccessful.

The court also noted that “the documents were never left at Combs’ residence or with the security guard.” As for Gooding Jr., the court stated Blackburn provided “no documentation” that he attempted to serve him in either New York or Florida.

Jones originally filed suit in February 2024, alleging that Diddy “would touch his genitals and anus” and instructed Justin “to find underage girls to attend the parties he threw.” He also accused Gooding of “touching, groping, and fondling” various parts of his body.

Diddy, Justin, and Gooding Jr. have “flatly denied all of Rodney’s claims.” At the time of filing, Diddy’s attorney Shawn Holley stated they had “overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies,” which had been offered to Blackburn, who “never picked up the phone.”

No word yet on whether Blackburn and Jones intend to refile.
