Diddy’s time behind bars is slowly being counted down.
Federal records have now confirmed that the music mogul is expected to remain in prison until May 8, 2028, marking nearly four years since his September 2024 arrest.
The Bureau of Prisons updated Diddy’s file to reflect this release date, which could change if he earns credit for good behavior.
Under federal sentencing guidelines, inmates can serve about 85% of their term, meaning Combs could potentially leave prison a few months earlier if he meets those requirements.
Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison on charges involving the transportation to engage in prostitution. The case, which sparked controversy across the entertainment world, remains one of the most talked-about legal stories involving a celebrity in recent years.
Though his sentence appears clear on paper, Combs’ legal path forward is not entirely settled. His team still has the right to appeal the ruling or seek other forms of relief that could alter the length of his incarceration.
Speculation about a possible presidential pardon also surfaced recently, suggesting Donald Trump might consider intervening on Diddy’s behalf.
The White House quickly denied these claims, saying there is “zero truth” to such rumors. A spokesperson clarified, “The President, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations.”
If Diddy serves his full sentence, he will remain incarcerated until 2028.
For now, his future depends on legal motions, behavior evaluations, and the unpredictable turns that often come with high profile cases like his.
