Dior has reintroduced one of its most iconic fragrances in a new alcohol-free formula.Â
J’Adore Dior perfume was originally launched in 1999. However, the beloved scent has made its comeback authentically and more safely, doing away with harsh chemicals found in most fragrances. J’adore Parfum D’eau blends Chinese magnolia with jasmine sambac through an extensive high-pressure process where water and the oil from perfume concentrate come together. The revamped J’Adore Parfum D’Eau is free of alcohol and other chemicals but promises a long-lasting scent that offers more hydration for the skin.Â
The floral scent is a milky-white liquid that will not leave a stain behind on clothes. The curved white bottle with golden rings stands out amongst its competitors, its beauty quickly identifying the product as a member of the Dior beauty family.
What makes the scent so unique is that Dior created and patented their own water-based technique and hopes other brands will do the same.
For those who would prefer alcohol to remain in their fragrances, Dior still offers the J’adore Eau De Parfum Infinissime and J’adore, both of which contain #15490 alcohol. British Vogue noted that while the old and new formulas are both valuable, they smell “noticeably different.”
“It sprays on in a soft, cocooning mist that has a different feel than a classic Eau de parfum,” the publication wrote.
Try it for yourself. J’Adore Parfum D’Eau is available for purchase now at Dior.com.
