DJ Khaled found himself at the center of a bizarre and unsettling incident after a mysterious black coffin was left outside his Miami home, appearing to reference his recent tensions with Drake.
According to TMZ, two unidentified individuals arrived at Khaled’s property on Saturday, February 15, claiming to be from a delivery company. They left behind a black casket at the gate, which featured an upside-down white cross and the words “RIP OVO” and “RIP Drake” scrawled on the lid. Before leaving, the two individuals reportedly knelt and prayed in front of the coffin.

Security at Khaled’s home later disposed of the casket, and police are reportedly not investigating the incident at this time. However, the eerie delivery bears a striking resemblance to a recent situation involving Tekashi 6ix9ine, another Florida-based rapper.
Just last week, 6ix9ine also received a black coffin outside his property, this one marked with “RIP King Von.” Given 6ix9ine’s history of beef with the late rapper—who was fatally shot in Atlanta in 2020—authorities took the matter seriously, even deploying a bomb squad to inspect the casket. The only item found inside was a bottle of hand sanitizer, and 6ix9ine later joked that he wanted to keep it.
It remains unclear whether the same individuals are behind both coffin incidents, but the timing of the one at Khaled’s residence is notable. It comes shortly after Drake appeared to take shots at Khaled, following the producer’s teaser for his upcoming album Aalam of God. The seven-minute trailer previewed two songs featuring Drizzy, but instead of acknowledging the promo, Drake responded with a sarcastic joke: “Must be Drake Bell.”
