Donald Glover wants everyone to know his time was not a factor in the cancellation of the new animated ‘Deadpool’ series.

This past weekend, FX announced Glover and his brother/producing partner #StephenGlover would no longer be collaborating with #Marvel for a new “Deadpool” show. According to the statement the two parties were having “creative differences.”

On Wednesday, Glover took to Twitter and posted an uncleared, fictional 15-page “Deadpool” script and decided to set the record, and Marvel straight. “For the record: I wasn’t too busy to work on Deadpool,” he wrote with a post of the “Finale” episode of the show.

Glover’s script followed the journey of anti-hero “Deadpool” in Africa on a mission protecting the world’s last male northern white Rhino, named Sudan (who recently just passed). On Twitter, Glover began posing questions in his made-up script as to why the series got cancelled.

Deadpool says to Sudan, “What? The Marvel stuff I said in it? All I said was Marvel was trying to sell toys to seven-year-old boys and 50-year-old pedophiles.” He also mentioned it’s an inappropriate time to a have a “violent, gun loving white man ranting on TV” – “other than the president.” He then asks aloud: “Do you think they canceled the show…cause of racism?!”

Later in his tweets, he says “It just feels like everyone wants something different, but no one wants to do anything different to get it. Doesn’t Marvel have enough feel-good minority shows everyone supports but doesn’t watch? I mean, I think our show woulda been funny. I just wanted a place, to be honest. And I guess that place is Freeform.”

While FX confirmed an ongoing relationship with Marvel on ‘Legion’, they say they are parting ways with ‘Deadpool.’ Marvel has declined to comment.
