On Wednesday, Donald Trump continued his rant on social media, claiming he could bring Elon Musk to his knees.
Trump made the comments on his Twitter-like social media network Truth Social.
Earlier this week, Musk suggested that it should be an age limit for the presidency and stated that the country would be a better place if Trump decided to “hang up his hat & sail into the sunset.”
In response, Trump fired at Musk companies. He wrote, “When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless, and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it.”
He added, “Now Elon should focus on getting himself out of the Twitter mess because he could owe $44 billion for something that’s perhaps worthless. Also, lots of competition for electric cars!”
Twitter announced it would sue Elon Musk over his attempt to back out of the agreement to buy the social media platform. According to Musk, Twitter did not accurately estimate the number of spam accounts and bots on the site.
Musk has expressed his desire for Ron DeSantis, a Republican governor of Florida, to run for president in 2024 instead of Donald Trump. Musk claims that early this year, he cast his first-ever Republican ballot.
