While most of the country was winding down from holiday festivities, Donald Trump was busy heating up the timeline with a scathing Christmas night message.
Taking to his Truth Social platform on Christmas Day, Trump delivered a message aimed at his political rivals and anyone linked to the late Jeffrey Epstein.
The post comes at a high stakes moment as the Department of Justice continues to pull back the curtain, recently releasing thousands of additional files connected to the investigations into the notorious sex trafficker.
Trump did not hold back, labeling those associated with Epstein as “Sleazebags” and accusing them of trying to shift the blame onto him.
Trump used the holiday greeting to call out individuals who he claims once praised Epstein only to abandon him when the legal pressure mounted.
“Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to ‘drop him like a dog’ when things got too HOT,” Trump wrote. He went on to argue that many people falsely claimed they had no connection to the financier once he became a “disgusting person” in the public eye. Trump maintained that he was ahead of the curve in severing ties, stating he “was actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so.”
The rant quickly expanded beyond the Epstein case, with Trump taking aim at the New York Times and the Democratic party. Trump revisited familiar grievances, calling the investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election “FAKE” and suggesting that the same political players are back at it again. He warned that “mostly innocent” people would find their reputations “tarnished” by what he described as the “World of Corrupt Democrat Politics.”
The message took an even more ominous turn toward the end, as he told his critics to “Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas!”
Trump’s aggressive defense on Christmas night suggests he is ready to go on the offensive to protect his own image while pointing the finger at his adversaries.
With the release of these thousands of files, the fallout from the Epstein saga is clearly far from over, and it seems Trump has no plans of staying quiet as the details emerge.
