Donald Trump is taking pride in his mugshot, which didn’t hinder him from re-entering the White House for a second term.

This week, a framed copy of his mugshot from the New York Post was spotted hanging in an ornate gold frame near the Oval Office during a news conference. The mugshot, taken at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia after Trump’s surrender on August 24th, 2023, quickly became a social media meme.
Trump, reflecting on the moment, told Fox News Digital that Georgia officials “insisted” on taking the mugshot and that it was “not a comfortable feeling — especially when you’ve done nothing wrong.”
This says everything about this piece of crap. Trump’s mugshot spotted hanging in ornate frame near Oval Office. He’s so proud. This is what America wants? Well, he won. He stayed out of prison. pic.twitter.com/paF4JqwFK9

The charges against Trump, which stem from his alleged attempts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results, remain unresolved. At the time of his indictment, the Trump campaign described it as a “continued pathetic attempt by the Biden crime family and their weaponized Department of Justice.” The case is still in progress, with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis appealing a ruling that disqualified her office from prosecuting. Four co-defendants in the case, including Sidney Powell and Jenna Ellis, have already accepted plea deals.
