Trump Says He’d ‘Love’ to See Stephen A. Smith Run for President [Video]

Trump called into the NewsNation Town Hall last night. After his first 100 days in office, Trump answered a multitude of questions. Stephen A. Smith was in attendance, and Trump surprised everyone when he was asked about the media personality running for president in 2028.

“I love watching him. He’s got great entertainment skills, which is very important,” Trump said on NewsNation. “People watch him,” Trump told the panelists, which included Smith. “I’ve been pretty good at picking people and picking candidates, and I will tell you, I’d love to see him run.”

There were cheers and claps as Smith put his face in his hands, a little embarrassed, then shook his head. While many have pitched it around as a joke, Smith said he is willing to leave all doors open.

Many people have commented on the hypocrisy of Smith becoming president. However, we’ve seen a media personality make it into office twice—though with nowhere near the same type of following. Smith is recognized throughout the world in media as well.
