DoorDash will be expanding its delivery service options with an on-demand, at-home delivery Covid-19 test kit.
People will be able to order coronavirus tests directly on the company’s app, thanks to a collaboration with two respected digital health firms. Customers in 12 U.S. markets will now receive delivery kits from Vault Health and EverlyWell in areas where DashMart locations are open. Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Cleveland, Chicago, Baltimore, and Minneapolis are among the cities where the new delivery service is scheduled to launch. In the future, DoorDash hopes to expand.
People may also order a testing kit directly from Vault Health’s website, accessible in 20 additional cities, including Las Vegas and Houston. DoorDash will deliver the testing kit ordered via the platform the next day.
Other firms, including Labcorp, have partnered with FedEx to distribute COVID-19 testing kits to various markets, similar to DoorDash. In contrast to DoorDash’s current same-day delivery pledge, most people obtained the test within two days. DoorDash claims that the average delivery time is less than an hour.
The Vault Health package costs $119 and contains a saliva test that must be performed under a Vault Health employee’s supervision. For this part, the company offers Zoom sessions. The EverlyWell pack, on the other hand, costs $109. The results of both tests should be available within 24 to 48 hours.
