Legendary hip hop mogul Dr. Dre hasn’t released new music since his 2015 album, “Compton,” but that hasn’t stopped him from topping the Forbes list as the highest-earning music artist of the decade. Dr. Dre is not only a Rapper and Producer, but a savvy businessman whose ventures including his hefty stake in Beats Electronics, having brought in an estimated $950 million over the last ten years.
Taylor Swift was next on the list with $825 million, as the Queen Beyoncé came in at 3rd with $685 million. Both Jay-Z and Diddy also ranked in the top 10 with earnings that exceeded $500 million respectively.
According to XXL, Dre is rumored to be heading back into the studio in 2020 to work on Kanye’s “Jesus Is King Part 2” album production. Kanye told his Sunday Service audience, “I used to spend all my time trying to make my beats be mixed as good as Dr. Dre, who knew all I had to do was do an album for God and then Dr. Dre would start mixing my beats…Spend your time on God and he will handle the rest.”
Congrats to Dre on this amazing accomplishment.
