The fans have now joined in on the ongoing feud between Drake and Kanye West. Photos circulated the internet over the weekend showing fans of the Toronto rapper had placed signs at West’s childhood home.
The signs depicted lyrics from Drake’s verse on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal.” “45 44 burnt out,” one of the three signs read.
“CLB coming soon,” said another sign, referring to Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album. The album is rumored to be dropping on September 3rd. In his “Betrayal” diss, he also referenced that the “date is set in stone” and will not change because of Kanye.
“All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know. Forty-five, forty-four (burned out), let it go,” raps Drake. ‘”‘Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me. It’s set in stone.”
On the third sign, one of the vandals wrote “f*ck Justin Laboy.” Laboy is a social media influencer who has been posting a lot about Ye and his Donda album as of late.
The rapper previously purchased the South Shore Chicago home in 2018 for $225,000. It’s reported that he is in the process of renovating the house.
West most recently incorporated the home into his Chicago listening event held at Soldier Field. A replica of the house was set up on the 5-yard line and surrounded by candles.
The signs were left on the front steps, but no actual damage was done to the house.
