Drake Visits Heart Patient After She Makes “Shiggy Challenge” Video

A Chicago girl’s wishes have come true after she hoped the #ShiggyChallenge would help her meet Drake.

Sofia Sanchez is a Chicago native who is awaiting a heart transplant. When the viral “Shiggy Challenge” erupted from Drake’s “In My Feelings” many participated in the fun including the now 11-year-old girl. After recording her challenge she invited the Canadian rapper to her 11th birthday party at Lurie Children’s Hospital, according to ABC 7.

“I just had surgery three weeks ago. The surgery was to help my heart pump,” she says in her video message to Drake. “I love your music and I was hoping that you could come and cheer me up for my birthday.” Her wishes came true because he showed up to her hospital room on Aug. 20.

During Drake’s visit, he said he and the birthday girl talked about #JustinBieber, owls, and basketball. Sofia was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a heart condition that usually ends with heart failure which requires a heart transplant. It’s been three weeks since her surgery.
