While many people believed Drake was putting all of his energy into his feud with Kendrick Lamar, he was plotting his next money move, which involved partnering up with ESPN.
Drake’s “October’s Very Own” brand has joined forces with ESPN to release a limited-edition varsity jacket to celebrate the 2024 NBA Finals. Released on Thursday, the black and gold leather OVO jacket is priced at $68 and is only available to U.S. citizens through the official OVO app.

The jacket features the iconic ESPN and OVO logo, with the brand’s owl mascot sitting on top of the network’s design. A press release reportedly stated that the collaboration symbolizes “the sports and fashion worlds colliding on the NBA’s biggest stage to wrap another storyline-packed season.”
In 2021, Drake created the soundtrack for ESPN’s Monday night football games. The project included crafting songs for promos, pre-game shows, and live telecasts.
“Now we are here… the kickoff of the football season. And who better to curate music for Monday Night Football than Drake who sits firmly at the intersection of music and sports. We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming collaboration,” Vice President of Sports Marketing, Emeka Ofodile, ESPN, said. “The music curator role has been a big hit with our fans with Diplo and DJ Khaled in previous years… and this season, we will be living inside the moment with Drake as our NFL on ESPN soundtrack.”
