It appears the amicable split between Dreka and Kevin Gates has hit a tumultuous point.
The entrepreneur and estranged wife of rapper Kevin Gates is calling him out in court, claiming he’s left her and their children to fend for themselves while he continues to enjoy a high-roller lifestyle.
According to legal filings, Dreka says Kevin pulled the financial rug from under the family in 2021. She alleges he stopped covering basic costs like private school tuition and property taxes, even as he showed off a string of luxury purchases, including nearly 20 high-end vehicles and a multimillion-dollar Calabasas estate.
But that’s not all. The documents reveal their Mississippi farm is now at risk, with the IRS allegedly stepping in over a staggering $7 million in back taxes. Dreka is asking the court to force Kevin to pay $27,193 monthly in child support and another $46,274 in spousal support.
She’s also seeking temporary primary custody of their two kids, saying they’ve been with her the vast majority of the time since 2023.
In a surprising twist, Kevin’s reported defense hinges on the claim that he and Dreka were never legally married. Dreka says that’s nonsense. After tying the knot in 2015 and building a life together, Dreka officially filed for divorce this July, citing irreconcilable differences.
