A Dwight Howard police call is adding another twist to the messy split between the NBA champion and his estranged wife, Amy Luciani.
According to 911 audio reviewed by TMZ, Howard contacted authorities on March 7, claiming a woman had left his Georgia mansion with several of his personal belongings. During the call, Howard told the dispatcher a “female” had taken items, including jewelry, his wedding ring, and his phone, before driving away in a gray Camaro.
Howard explained during the call that he was no longer at the house because he had to leave to pick up his child. The dispatcher informed him that an officer would follow up so he could file a report about the missing items.
The reported incident happened two days before Howard officially filed for divorce from Luciani. While the divorce news quickly made headlines, the newly surfaced 911 audio suggests the tension between the two was already escalating behind the scenes.
Shortly before the divorce filing, Luciani took to Instagram with serious claims about the former NBA star. She alleged Child Protective Services had taken Howard’s daughter, although no confirmation has been provided to support that claim.
Howard has not publicly addressed the 911 call. However, the situation signals that the relationship had already reached a breaking point before the paperwork hit the court system.
For now, the split between Dwight and Amy continues to unfold in real time.
