Evelyn Lozada and Tahiry respond to Joe Budden after he made comments about domestic abuse victims being bullies while discussing Megan Thee Stallion and Lozada’s cases.
This week, Budden hopped on his The Joe Budden Podcast and shared his thoughts on Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing case with Tory Lanez. During the convo, he shared that he feels it’s “bullying” behavior for Megan, or any other victim of domestic violence, to continually bring up the domestic violence incident despite time passing.
He used Lozada’s domestic violence incident involving former NFL baller Chad OchoCinco as an example.
“For years, any time [Johnson’s] name came up, [Lozada] popped up. It had nothing to do with her. She popped up and said, ‘He did this,'” said Joe Budden. “It didn’t matter the rehabilitation he’d done and didn’t matter the changes that he made, the apologies, both public and private.”
“Every time I do something positive, you’re gonna pop up with this victim story. And you are the victim, so I don’t take that away. But that’s bullying,” Budden continued.
While he acknowledged that victims are victims, he seemingly claimed that it was unfair for a person’s past violent behavior to be brought up numerous times. It didn’t take long for his words to reach not just the world, but Lozada and his ex Tahiry, who was allegedly abused by Budden.
“I’m gonna keep screaming to the heavens no matter what another abuser has to say about my past abusive relationship,” said Lozada in an Instagram story post. In another story post, Lozada responded to a person’s comment that read: “Joe…You beat the literal BABY out of your ex-girlfriend. PLEASE SHUT UP.”
“Disgusting human!” wrote Lozada. “How do you even still have a platform to speak on anyone’s abusive relationships?!!” Lozada then followed up her posts with a post showing the injuries Ochocino gave her. “Let’s not forget @ Joe Budden Should @ TheRealTahiry post hers?!!!!!!”
Tahiry responded to the news in her own Instagram stories.
“I’m so sorry nobody should have to go thru this,” said Tahiry in a caption over photos of Lozada’s injuries. “I’m shaking!!!! He fractured my rib & punched me in the face. I don’t have pictures but I’m sure his other ex’s do.”
Tahiry continued in another post: “I’ve blocked this out for such a long. I’ve tricked my brain into ignoring all of it. I attend therapy on a regular bases now. It’s hard to have to re-live this every freaking time and noice that comes with it.
