Whew! It seems like Rich The Kid is in hot water with Fashion Nova. The rapper has been ordered to pay the retail company $130k for a breach of contract.
In October, the fashion brand sued the rapper for breaching a contract he signed back in 2018. The contract terms state Rich The Kid as a brand ambassador, which includes him making social media post promoting Fashion Nova’s products. The contract also says that Rich has to mention the company in one of his songs.
Needless to say, Rich didn’t do any of those things in a timely manner even though he received an advanced check for $100k. This resulted in Fashion Nova filing a lawsuit against Rich after not reaching him.
Fashion Nova initially sued Rich for $3.5 million. However, a California court ordered Rich to pay $132,637.75. The lump-sum includes $100,000 in damages and the rest from court fees & interest.
Rich seemingly responds to the lawsuit on Instagram saying, “Sh*t is crazy motherf*ckers tryna sue a n*gga left and right. It’s time for us to promote ownership, not that slave sh*t.”
