FBI Director Kash Patel posted on Twitter: “This morning, the FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack and arrested multiple subjects in Michigan who were allegedly plotting a violent attack over Halloween weekend.”

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino applauded the response, calling it a clear example of proactive policing. “This is what real law enforcement looks like — proactive, relentless, and focused on saving lives,” he said.
The bust follows a devastating attack 10 months ago in New Orleans, where a man drove a truck through crowds on Bourbon Street, killing 15 people. That attacker flew an ISIS flag, fueling ongoing security concerns.
Authorities are now combing through evidence and executing search warrants across the state.
