Fetty Wap Sentenced to Six Years in Federal Drug Trafficking Case

Fetty Wap

Things aren’t looking good for Fetty Wap as one of the men in his drug case faces a decade behind bars.

Robert Leonardi pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute and possession of heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, and cocaine base this week. He is the brother of New Jersey corrections officer Anthony Leonardi, who was also arrested for purchasing and transporting narcotics from the West Coast to the East Coast as part of the multi-million dollar drug enterprise that Fetty helped run.

Leonardi will learn his fate on November 8th. He is facing ten years in federal prison. According to the indictment, he, his brother, and Fetty ran their drug trafficking business from June 2019 through June 2020. In addition to the drug counts, they’ve all been charged with using guns in their dealings. In the months since his arrest, reports of Fetty potentially accepting a plea deal have surfaced, though there has been no confirmation of an agreement.

As for the “Trap Queen” star, he remains out on bond after pleading not guilty to all counts. Shortly after his arrest, the 31-year-old took to Instagram to share an optimistic message about his case.

“if it ain’t life it ain’t forever I’ll be back better wiser and smarter,” he wrote in a post.
