The 34-year-old rapper recently shared that after his release, he earned his GED and began studying HVAC as part of his effort to build a stronger foundation for himself. Appearing on “The Tamron Hall Show,” Fetty explained that learning a trade became a priority as he adjusted to life outside.

“I got my GED. I took a few HVAC courses. Oh, yeah, I do a few things,” Fetty said.

He admitted that his perspective shifted after being exposed to people who were thriving through legitimate businesses. Seeing others earn substantial incomes without fame pushed him to reconsider what success could look like beyond music.

“You meet a lot of people that … they had legitimate businesses and making good amount of money,” he said. “So I’m like, well, he making, like, rapper money. I’ma try that out.”

When asked whether he expected to resume his rap career exactly as it was before his incarceration, Fetty kept it real.

“No.”

The New Jersey artist was released last month after serving time stemming from a 2023 sentence related to a federal drug conspiracy case involving cocaine distribution.

Since returning home, Fetty has emphasized personal development and forward thinking. While fans anticipate new music, the rapper appears determined to balance entertainment with entrepreneurship, proving that this next phase of his life is about more than just chart positions; it’s about stability and second chances.
