Two Florida men are fighting in court over a bet they made over the 2020 Presidential election. Sean Hynes, a Donald Trump supporter, failed to pay his friend Jeffrey Costa, a Joe Biden supporter, $100 for Biden winning the election. The Tampa Bay Times says that Hynes refuses to acknowledge Biden’s victory.

Costa is suing for the $100, plus $250 in court cost and $300 in interest.

“You should have the integrity in your principles to follow through with what you have proposed,” Costa said.

The two argued back and forth on Facebook messenger. When Costa told Hynes that he was planning on suing him for the money, Hynes deleted him. Costa wanted Hynes to pay the bet so that he didn’t have to sue him, but Hynes didn’t.

“I also felt that if you’re going to live in a post-fact world, there are consequences to that,” Costa said.
