A teen has been arrested for allegedly using rap lyrics to threaten his teacher.

Police arrested a 13-year-old boy around 3 p.m. in Tampa, Florida, on Monday. A police report says the child was being disruptive in class and at one point, pulled his pants down to pick out a wedgie. He then refused to return to his seat after being instructed by his teacher and continued talking to his classmates.

The teacher took the next step by asking the unidentified student to leave, but before he left, he turned around and said, “This is not over, I got my Glock 9.” The police report states that two instructors witnessed the remark. After his arrest, he and his mother were interviewed with authorities. During the conversation, the student admitted to making the comment. Yet he says that it was only a play on lyrics rapped by 9lokkNine. On the track “Bounce Out Wit Dat Glokk9,” 9lokkNine raps, “We thugging, we got our Glock nine.”

According to the police report, this is what fueled the teen to say the remark to his teacher. The report concluded that “the defendant did not meet requirements for county diversion because this is a second-degree felony.”

The boy was charged with the false report of using a firearm in a violent manner.
