There were more than 500 flights canceled in the U.S. on Monday.
Flyers have yet to catch a break as airlines continue to struggle with flight cancelations and delays. On Monday, more than 2,000 flights were delayed and more than 500 flights were canceled, with Sunday following with 950 flight cancelations.
One of the U.S. cities that struggled the most was Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. About 12 percent of flights originally flying out of the city were canceled by 12 p.m. EST.
On Sunday, the city was staying on watch amid flash flood warnings. There were more than 45 percent of flight delays, and 12 percent the flights that day were canceled.
Most of the delays came from JetBlue (41 percent) and Southwest (36 percent). Flight cancellations affected United Airlines (4 percent) and Delta Airlines (2 percent). Both airlines were also impacted by flight delays.
