Former bad girl Judi Jai turned down being on hit VH1 show “Love and Hip Hop” because producers wanted her to be in a staged relationship.
Jai has moved on from her controversial days being on Oxygen’s popular show “The Bad Girls Club.” Since then she’s been making money moves and one of them was potentially being a new cast member on Love And HipHop.
The Blast reached out to Judi who said Monami Entertainment contacted her with offers to appear on either the Atlanta or Hollywood franchise. Her role was for season 6 of Hollywood where she would be expected to have a recurring position, described as an essential part of the cast.” The “LHH: ATL” franchise called for a smaller role with “light romantic involvement with one of the main cast members,” according to The Blast.
Things took a turn for the worse when she pitched her real-life musician girlfriend to be on the show with her instead of faking a relationship. That’s when producers “kind of just left everything up in the air and said they will keep me in mind for other openings and spots.” Judi says she was clear about wanting to go another route with her role.
She added, “I just feel like they only cast people to fight. “I feel like they [producers] push for an agenda and really drag the gay and black community down. They truly don’t want talented people.” Judi acknowledges that being in the cast would have helped her career but she is happy she turned down the part.
