An arrest was made at LaGuardia airport Monday after former NBA player Ben Gordon was seen hitting his 10-year-old son.
Police arrested Gordon over the alleged abuse at 8:45 p.m. at Port Authority while he was waiting for a flight to Chicago.
According to the sources, his son was taken by an aunt and evaluated at Long Island Jewish Children’s Hospital.
The former shooting guard is being processed by police at the Port Authority police station, and the charges against him are pending.
Although it’s not immediately apparent how or where they were hurt, two Port Authority officers reportedly suffered minor injuries while making the arrest.
