Just one week after ”The Cosby Show” actor Geoffrey Owens was publicly shamed for working at Trader Joe’s, the actor is set to return to the small screen.
According to CNN, a rep for Owens confirmed that the actor has accepted a job offer from #TylerPerry to appear on his drama series on OWN Network. Perry, who produces the popular series ”The Haves and The Have Nots,” took to Twitter earlier this week to prompt Owens to “come join” the cast of “OWN’s number one drama.”

Owens recently made headlines after a shopper took photos of him while at work at Trader Joe’s. The photos were soon publicized on popular blogs and the story went viral.

Owens said in an interview with CNN that he was devastated by being shamed for his job, but soon gained a slew of positive support.

“I was only devastated for an hour or two,” Owens said. “It was hurtful but very short lived. What has been sustained, now over days, is how much love and support there is. Not just for me, but for working people. The idea that, ‘Hey, what’s wrong with working at Trader Joe’s, or any job like that?”

According to Owens, he worked at the grocery store for 15-months but left after gaining the negative attention.
