A Georgia man was arrested for his connection to a triple homicide during a robbery at a gun range.
On Friday, 21-year-old Jacob Christian Muse was taken into custody on three counts of malice murder. Muse is currently behind bars at the Coweta County Jail without bond.
On April 8th, Muse allegedly killed three people at Lock Stock & Barrel Shooting Range in Grantville. Authorities believe the murders happened during an alleged robbery gone wrong.
The victims, Thomas Hawk, Evelyn Hawk, and their grandson Alexander Luke Hawk, were found dead by the couple’s son a few hours following the shooting. Thomas Hawk was the gun range owner, and Alexander was assisting him while he was on spring break.
The Hawk family says they “are encouraged and honored by the incredible efforts of our local law enforcement. We understand from Chief Steve Whitlock that the current development with the murder suspect in custody was certainly a team effort. We are continuing to pray for their teams during this stressful time. And we will continue to pray for the redemption of the perpetrator. Thank you again to the City of Grantville and the community at large for such an outpouring of love and support. It is so meaningful that so many in our community cherished them as we did. And have helped to shine a light in the darkness.”
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the investigation “remains active and ongoing.”
