GloRilla is calling out Georgia law enforcement after her July arrest on felony marijuana charges, insisting she and her family were the true victims in a violent home invasion.

The Memphis-born rapper said the authorities have treated her and her siblings like suspects instead of focusing on the crime against them. The break-in occurred while GloRilla was performing in Indianapolis during WNBA All-Star Weekend. Three armed men entered her Forsyth County home in the middle of the night, prompting a family member to fire shots at the intruders. The burglars fled before deputies arrived on the scene.
“I feel like me, and my brother and sister, we were victims in this situation,” GloRilla told WSB-TV’s Michael Seiden. “But somehow, they’re trying to paint us out to be suspects, and I just feel like it’s all the way wrong.”
Her attorney, Drew Findling, confirmed that more than $700,000 worth of property was stolen during the break-in. Instead of focusing on the robbery, authorities arrested GloRilla after discovering what court records describe as a significant amount of marijuana inside the home.
“Over $700,000 of items were stolen from her home,” Findling said. “So her brother and sister naturally called the police when this was all going on.”
GloRilla voluntarily turned herself in and was released on bond the same day. Her legal team has criticized the investigation for prioritizing drug charges over addressing the violent crime.
“The most egregious part is that there seems to be no movement whatsoever in this home invasion, but rather, within 24 hours, there were warrants for her arrest for a marijuana possession case. That’s unconscionable,” Findling added.
Although the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office initially acknowledged GloRilla and her family as victims and promised to pursue justice, little progress has been made. GloRilla and her attorneys are now considering launching their own investigation to ensure the crime is properly addressed.
