GloRilla is hoping that her music can inspire two of hip-hop’s leading ladies to make peace.
On Friday, the Memphis superstar unveiled her long-awaited mixtape, “Ehhthang Ehhthang.” Amidst the heavy-hitting bangers on the project lies an authentic and heartfelt track titled “Aite,” featuring Kevo Muney. On the cut, Big Glo raps about the cost of fame and how her come-up has fueled jealousy but also a life that she has always dreamed of. Later down the line, she opened up about her desire to see Cardi B and Nicki Minaj make amends.
“I just pray one day the bad b****es would come together/’Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f***in’ records,” the CMG rapper declared.
As we know, Cardi and Nicki have been at odds for years, with their feud seemingly starting after their 2018 track, “Motorsport,” alongside Migos. Since then, the ladies have taken shots at one another online. Cardi is also friendly with several other female rappers that Nicki isn’t particularly fond of, such as Latto and Megan Thee Stallion.
Later in the record, Glo also addressed rumors about her and JT having issues. It has been speculated that the women got into an altercation at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. However, Glo says while the women aren’t close, there is no animosity.
“Me and JT ain’t the best of friends but we ain’t beefin’/ Know b****es always havin’ ana that they keep a secret (For real)/ Forever clappin’ for the next b***h, I ain’t competin’ (Never),” Glo added.
Glo has long expressed her desire to work with many of the rap girls of today, so taking a peaceful stance is surely not surprising.
