Recently, Memphis star GloRilla found herself the target of online trolls after videos surfaced of her getting her makeup done.
The reactions were swift and harsh, with many critiquing her appearance. Rather than remain silent, Big Glo took to Instagram Live Friday night, addressing the negativity head-on before a performance.
“I show ya’ll my motherf**king bare face every motherf**king day,” she yelled into the camera.
Much of the online abuse was directed at her nose, though Glo also made it clear she has never hidden or been ashamed of her features.
“Big fat motherf**ker sitting on my face, what’s up?…I’ll get on Live quick, bonnet, hair not done,” she added.
The nasty comments arrive at a time when Glo is having one of the most significant rap moments of the year. Following the release of her debut album, “Glorious,” she had the biggest first-week release of any female rapper this year, with a reported 60,000 units sold. Glo debuted at number five on the Billboard 200. Despite her incredible success, some have taken the time to try and tear the CMG rapper down.
Fans have rallied around Glo online, defending her and her Afrocentric features. This has raised conversations regarding featurism and racism. Nevertheless, it seems GloRilla is not allowing the haters to ruin her mood.

Yes it’s anti black because glorilla is actually not ugly. People make it seem like she’s a goblin. When ppl say she ugly they usually talking about her nose. Isn’t it odd she’s light skinned but don’t get the same exact treatment because of her very noticeable black features? https://t.co/P0Tzuo1ACR pic.twitter.com/tHn84Uv97h
