Google has just introduced glasses that have a built-in language translation system.

No more having to search what someone is saying on Google; the tech company just came out with language-translating glasses that will translate a variety of languages through text. The transcribed text then appears over the lenses, PC Mag reports. And it all happens in real-time.

To start, Google launched a prototype of the glasses.

“What we’re working on is technology that enables us to break down language barriers,” said Eddie Chun, a director of product management at Google.

In addition to the Google translate-efficient glasses, the glasses are equipped to help a deaf person identify whether someone knows sign language or not. The glasses made their debut at Google’s Google I/0 developers conference while sharing its plans to look into augmented-reality devices, PC Mag reports.

“These AR capabilities are already useful on phones and the magic will really come alive when you can use them in the real world without the technology getting in the way,” said Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
