Famed chef Gordon Ramsay is slamming people who use weight-loss injections and is making it clear he will not make accommodations for them.
The outspoken culinarian didn’t sugarcoat his thoughts in a new interview with The Sunday Times. When asked if he’d consider smaller portions or modified menus for those on medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro, Ramsay fired back without hesitation.
“That is absolute bulls**t,” he said. “There’s no f**king way we’re giving in to the Mounjaro jab. The problem is with them for eating too much in the first f**king place!”
Used to treat Type 2 diabetes, both Ozempic (semaglutide) and Mounjaro (tirzepatide) have become widely known for appetite suppression and weight-loss results. But Ramsay says his restaurants won’t be jumping on that bandwagon.
“There’s no way that we’re coming in with an Ozempic tasting menu to make you feel like less of a fat f**k by 10:30 in the evening.”
Ramsay’s comments were seemingly in response to fellow chef Heston Blumenthal announcing that he would offer adjusted menus for those on weight-loss medications at his England restaurant, The Fat Duck. As for Ramsay’s own line of eateries, including Hell’s Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, customers will have to work with full portion sizes.
