Here’s How to Order Free At-Home Covid-19 Tests From the U.S. Government

Tuesday the federal government launched a website for Americans to order free at-home rapid Covid-19 testing kits.

Every household in the U.S. is eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests which will ship in 7-12 days, according to the U.S. Postal Service. While it was initially reported that the site would officially go live on Jan. 19, a beta version of the site launched Tuesday allowing Americans to request testing kits. We’ve already tested it out!

Those looking to order their free at-home tests can visit https://www.covidtests.gov/ or go directly to the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) order form: https://special.usps.com/testkits.

Just last week, President Biden announced plans to buy 1 billion at-home tests for Americans amid a surge in omicron cases.
