High School Girl Gets Cyber Bullied After Posting Prom Pics – blogged by @LoveRubyWoo

Tayja Jones-Banks was so excited about going to prom last Saturday. The night went just as she had hoped, and she ended up having a great time…that is, until she logged onto social media the next day.

Dressed in a gorgeous sequined black dress with her hair and makeup slaying, Tayja looked incredible, but of course the haters couldn’t let her enjoy her night in peace. After she posted a few pictures on her Facebook and Twitter, they quickly gained traction and went viral. Unfortunately, along with the attention she was getting came some pretty nasty comments.

“THIS GIRL LOOKS A MESS AND U FEMALES WILL SAY YESSSSSSSSSS SLAY GIRL KNOWING GOOD AND WELL SHE TOTALLY EMBARRASSED HERSELF FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE…SMFH,” one Facebook user posted. “These liars saying you’re beautiful don’t realize obesity leads to hell,” a Twitter troll wrote. These were just some of the many cruel and despicable responses to her prom pictures.

What started out as a night of happiness at prom quickly turned into sadness after Tayja caught wind of what was going on. “Should Of Never Went …..Should Of Never Posted Any Pics.” she wrote online the next morning.

Luckily, there’s still a lot of good people in the world to counter those who have nothing better to do with their lives than bully strangers online. A lot of people came together to show their support for Tayja on social media. They started the hashtag #TeamTayj, sent her sweet messages on social media, and are currently trying to see if they can get her on the Steve Harvey Show or The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

As for the bullies, karma always knows where to find you and trust they are getting properly dragged. This should serve as a reminder that cyber-bullying is never cool and you’re not impressing anybody.

Don’t listen to the haters…you looked beautiful, Tayja!!
